Bio
Jackson Yip is a young technical builder based in the United States, currently focused on developing low-cost micro weather stations for improved wildfire weather prediction as a recipient of a Merge Grants award. Before this, he contributed as an undergraduate research assistant to fire behavior research at the San Jose State University Fire Weather Research Laboratory, assisting with real-time fire weather monitoring and fieldwork. His hands-on experience in wildfire research and practical technology development places him at the intersection of environmental science and accessible hardware solutions.
